Experience the premiere of Trashure: Bottle is a Cocoon, a 30-minute narrative film that chronicles a day in the life of Vyk, a solitary woman living along the shoreline of a post-apocalyptic Toronto. Set against an overgrown, trash-laden world, Vyk's daily rituals and crafting routines serve as powerful symbols of hope and resilience. As she prepares dinner with the hope of community, Vyk personifies determination and optimism in an uncertain and undefined future. 🌿

Following the screening, there will be an exclusive Q&A session with the creators of Trashure, offering insights into their creative process and the message behind the film. Plus, don't miss the opportunity to meet Vyk, a key figure in the film’s narrative and a driving force in the art of garbage craft in post-apocalyptic times.

This premiere is part of the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts. From 3-7 PM, the Centre will open its doors to the public, celebrating its rich history and vibrant community.
